Guard Has Me!

Ok so the Guard has me hooked on them again. I finished the previously mentioned stormtrooper unit, and immediately started on unit 2 of them, which is now 1/2 done (5 out of 10 models). I also painted one of 3 Commissars that are being attached to mobile infantry regiment for a small close combat kick :)

Finally, I would like to thank a new GW Redshirt as he hooked me up with the last 20 Stormtroopers I needed for my list (the old SWAT guys), Alex you good sir, do rokk!

Things and Stuff

Two words we are told not to use in English class, but right now they sum up my existence, lol.

I have done precious little hobby wise lately, and not much in any one thing. I have a new job, which I love. I just started seeing a new girl, which I hope may someday turn into something, and GW has decided to vomit forth a veritable wave of awesomeness with the new Imperial Guard stuff...

So yeah 'things and stuff'.

My armorcast Reaver is about 1/4 done, needs taping and airbrushing now. Only current project is a unit of 10 Stormtroopers.

Need a Pro's Help

If anyone reads this and is swanky with Blogger (Mitch??) I could use some help setting up some things on this blog, and figuring out how to get a graphic as my title bar (ala BOLS).

Reaver is Assembled and Primed!!

And due to my computer and Vista being annoying I will put pics up tonight, not yesterday like I planned.

I also got the Warhound in, and holy hell, dos it look cool in the bag...

The weapons on it amaze me in their utter coolness. I am going to stick to the plan though. I will fully paint and base the reaver before work starts on the Warhound.

I think the Reaver looks pretty bad-ass sitting on my painting table right now in a rust red primer...very Mechanicus-y.

I'm hoping to debut the Reaver at Game Summit, for the bring-and-battle on Saturday night.

Titanic Post!

Well I got my titan in my hot little hands. Sadly it did not survive shipping very well, and arrived with many broken toes, ankles, and elbows.

That said after a night of pinning and gluing it is looking mighty fine...and freaking huge!

I Got a Titan!

Ok I officially own a Titan now. An armorcast Reaver showed up to my house yesterday. I am tempted to dive right in, but I am going to hold off until the FW order comes in, as I would like to make use of my Brass Etched purchases to dress the titan up a little bit.

My plan, loose as it is now, is to do my Reaver first, then tackle the Warhound with some practice under my belt.

I am going to do the reaver up with its included weapons. When it is done, I will be custom building some new weapons for it, as I want it to have 8 Turbolasers when all is said and done. This thing is going to be a titan/stompa/superheavy killer.

I am still unsure whether to wait for the Shadowsword kit to come out for the turbolasers from it, or make my own out of plasticard?

Time will tell and I'll see where I am at in the build/paint process to make my decision, but I am leaning towards waiting until the Shadowsword comes out.

FW Order is Placed!

Yep the big order is out, and likely already shipped. Can't wait until next week!

I will do the armorcast reaver first, so I can get my feet wet before starting work on the FW Warhound.

This what I hope to achieve with the Armorcast titan...(credit to Bell of Lost Souls for the image). See right.

The warhound from FW is going to be a bit tougher and I am hearing all sorts of horror stories from people on Dakkadakka from people who have built them. But I am patient with my projects and plan to take my time on it, I'll throw some update as I work on it for sure.
